Makai is right for families with young children, anyone driving (one drink is plenty) and travellers who mainly want the food, the beach and the fire show. The perimeter seats see the stage, just from further back. Original is the first-timer’s default: a better view from the central section, two drinks and a souvenir for $39 more. Plumeria is the upgrade reviewers most often call worth it, especially for couples and celebrations: reserved seats by the stage, no buffet scrum thanks to table service, a third drink and a faster bar, and the coach built in. Once you add $35 each for the bus to Original, Plumeria is only $40 more per adult.
